Exciting times leading up to Christmas!

Felt all warm and fuzzy this very cold December morning when I saw this post - http://www.allureofsound.com/?p=24019 ! That’s right, our video to Left Is Best is online in all it’s glory including the extreme close up of my head!!!

Just when I thought I couldn’t take anymore excitement I was sent a feedback report on our remixes from all sorts of DJ legends.. (from Faithless to Mark Knight) and we are getting incredible support in the clubs! Matt’s been kicking my arse about doing a blog, so here it is. what do you think so far? Any constructive comments, criticism etc? Anyway, i’m glad we had this chat, speak soon my lovelies.

It hasn’t been the best of weeks to be honest… if you can relate to the idea that the world moves in ways that you can only wish you had more control over you’ll know what i mean…

Still, even with being ill i’ve carried on regardless, working from my bed wrapped in a duvet and supported by pillows cos as much as you wish it would stop temporarily, the world carries on with or without you!

I dunno what it is but February to me is just one of months where things are made to go wrong, It’s jinxed, cursed. Take Valentines day for example, a day specifically designed to dampen the spirits of anyone who is single whilst others relish in the fact they are in a relationship… just doesn’t seem right does it?

Yesterday confirmed my theory that February is without doubt the worst month of the year when i stupidly slipped going down the stairs at home and landed back first onto the last step. laying there in pain and being unable to move it was a moment of pure irony when i remembered a song i posted on twitter earlier in the week…

‘Life ain’t always a bed of roses, you gotta get up, get up, get over it, be strong’

So for anyone else like me suffering from February blues, this song is for you…

Few words can possibly describe the past few weeks for Arkarna… All we can keep thinking is….

WOW Indonesia really knows how to rock out in style!

Even with all that mud, we hear you guys were actually making the ground shake which is unbelievable! Some of the most dedicated fans actually uploaded pictures of their muddy shoes to Twitter which made me laugh when I got back to my hotel room! :)

I guess on some level we didn’t really know what to expect when we arrived back in Jakarta. Being in a studio for so long it becomes very easy to loose your grip on reality and I frequently found a little voice in my head saying

‘is this real? Is this actually happening?’… I was genuinely expecting to wake at any moment.

It was an absolutely epic night and one that meant the world to all of us, we would have played on that stage all night if we had it our way! You guys were absolutely breathtaking :)

To perform in front of what can only be described as a sea of people is a pretty incredible thing and I cannot tell you guys how fortunate we all felt to see so many smiling face staring back at us. 

For me, the highlight of the whole trip had to be getting to finally meet so many of the fans that have been behind us for the past 2 years with their lovely messages of encouragement and support. Without you guys we wouldn’t be making music, you are the driving force behind Arkarna and we love each and everyone of you with all our hearts. For as long as you’re all there to go crazy for us we’ll be there to be going even crazier for you ;)

I think for us it’s still sinking in to be honest, but one thing’s for sure,

WE CANNOT WAIT TO BE BACK TO DOING IT AGAIN!!!

We will be playing Java Rockin’ Land Fest 2010 October 9th !

We’re lined up to play along side the Smashing Pumpkins, Stereophonics, Dashboard Confessional, Slank and many more great acts this year but none have been more anticipated than the return of the one and only Arkarna!

The Arkarna sound has never been bigger and the timing has never been better!
Anyone lucky enough to see the show will be amongst the first people in the world to see the new line up, hear the hit songs they know and love as well as brand new ones from the long awaited new album!
